Will this AFM disabler work with my GMC Acadia or Chevy Traverse?

No, the AFM/DFM Disabler is specifically engineered for GM full-size trucks and SUVs (Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon). It is not compatible with mid-size crossover SUVs including the GMC Acadia, Chevy Traverse, Buick Enclave, or Cadillac XT5. Using it on these vehicles will cause RPM fluctuations and performance issues.

How do I confirm if this device will fit my vehicle?

The best way to confirm compatibility is to send your 17-digit VIN number to service@egrperformance.com before ordering. Our team will verify your vehicle's engine and fuel management system within 24 hours.

No tools, wiring or programming required. Installation takes less than 2 minutes.

Prepare Your Vehicle: Turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition. Wait 30 seconds for all vehicle systems to power down completely.
Locate the OBD-II Port: Find the 16-pin OBD-II diagnostic port under the driver-side dashboard, near the steering column.
Plug in the Disabler: Firmly insert the AFM/DFM Disabler into the OBD-II port until it clicks into place.
Verify Power: The device will illuminate a solid blue light when powered on. If no light appears, check your vehicle's OBD-II fuse (often shared with the cigarette lighter).
Start Driving: Start your engine and drive normally. The disabler activates automatically, permanently disabling AFM/DFM while plugged in.

Important Notes:

Unplug the device before dealership service to allow full OBD-II system access

Unit doesn’t delete the auto stop. Vehicle seems a little more overfill but I’m not sure that it is true deleting the system as it is supposed to. But haven’t truly drove it enough to be sure

Amazing purchase

My 2009 Chevy Silverado hybrid,I had the entire motor rebuilt but always had problems with the hybrid. When I finally got my truck back it was completely running like shit and I was very upset a mechanic friend told me about the AFM that just plugs into my OBD sensor and he believes would resolve my issue, of course I was skeptical it couldn’t need this simple but once I plugged it in and my truck ran like a new truck I mean everything just completely went away all the skipping and pudding it was doing even the tranny slipping went away I don’t think that even makes sense but bottom line this device is amazing and I can’t thank you enough.

Eliminates hesitation.

I have 183,290 miles on my 2014 GMC Sierra RCSB SLE. I have not had any issues with AFM. The only thing I have had to do is change my front upper A arms. No engine or tranny issues. I retired last year and don’t drive as much so I decided to deactivate running in V4. It fixed any hesitation that I had with the V4/V8 transition and is more enjoyable to drive. Glad I got it.

Works great. No more horrible shifting sounds. Runs very smooth now.

Wow

Was happy to prevent future issues by disabling the cylinder deactivation. But wow plugged it in and immediately noticed how smooth my truck drove! Always claimed to have transmission issues but lived with it, not anymore smooth as silk! So far so great! 👍

No instructions

The item didn't come with any instructions. I can figure it out, but it would make it ALOT easier if it came with instructions. Like: where to bolt it and how to route the hoses.
If you could email instructions, that would be great.
And I purchased it, to install on my 2017 JGC , Overland edition w/ the 5.7L Hemi.

Did the job

Good quality! My only gripe is that the pipe wasn’t long enough to slide together so I had to go buy a extra wide 4” clamp to hold the two pieces together.. I also had to buy longer bolts to attach front flang.. overall seems to be a good product that should last for years..
