The MiniMaxx V1 Updater from EGR Performance is the dedicated firmware update utility for your H&S Mini Maxx V1 diesel tuner. Use this software to flash the latest firmware, resolve device glitches, refresh tuning files and keep your MiniMaxx V1 running reliably for off-road diesel applications.
Important: Off-road use only. Vehicle owner is responsible for emissions and street compliance.
Pre-update Checklist
- A Windows PC
- Micro SD card from your MMV1, or any 8–16GB Micro SD card
- Micro SD to USB adapter (one included with the MMV1 unit)
- Stable internet connection
Update Process
- Remove the Micro SD card from your MMV1. Use the included USB adapter to connect the SD card to your Windows PC.
- Download and install our update agent.
- Launch the update program. The full process takes 10–30 minutes, depending on your internet speed and PC processor performance.
- When finished, safely eject the SD card from your computer and reinsert it into your MMV1.
- Power on the MMV1 using USB or the vehicle HDMI cable. Navigate the menu and select update firmware. The screen will dim during flashing; the unit will automatically reboot once done. Connect the MMV1 to your truck via HDMI cable and OBD adapter block.
- Connect a battery charger that delivers a constant minimum 10A output. Do NOT use smart chargers or booster packs that adjust amperage or time out. A proper fixed-output charger is required. Improper power supply can brick your PCM, and no support will be provided for damage caused by negligence.
- With the compatible battery charger connected, set ignition to ON. Open the MMV1 menu and select install download. Follow all on-screen prompts to finish installation.
- After installation completes, turn ignition OFF and disconnect the battery charger.
- The firmware update is finished. Perform a test drive to verify operation.
