What Is a Powerstroke Delete Kit?
A Powerstroke delete kit is a performance upgrade designed for Ford diesel engines, such as the 6.7L, 6.4L, 6.0L, and 7.3L Powerstroke models.
It removes restrictive factory emissions components like the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter), and DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) systems.
These diesel kits typically include delete pipes, block-off plates, reroute hardware, and sometimes tuners to optimize engine performance. At EGR Performance, our Ford delete kits are engineered for seamless integration, enhancing your truck's power and efficiency.
Whether you're upgrading a 2014 6.7 Powerstroke delete kit, 7.3 Powerstroke EGR delete, or seeking 6.0 Powerstroke modifications, these kits unlock your engine's full potential for off-road or racing use.
Benefits of Installing a Delete Kit on Your Powerstroke
Installing a performance Powerstroke delete kit offers clear advantages for diesel enthusiasts.
First, it boosts engine performance by eliminating restrictions, delivering smoother acceleration and stronger towing power—ideal for heavy loads. Users often report 30-50 horsepower gains and improved torque.
Second, fuel efficiency rises by 1-3 MPG, as the engine runs more cleanly without constant regen cycles.
Third, it extends engine lifespan by reducing strain on components, minimizing soot buildup, and lowering exhaust gas temperatures (EGTs).
Finally, maintenance costs drop significantly, avoiding expensive repairs on failing emissions parts.
At EGR Performance, our performance kits provide these benefits with high-quality materials tested for durability, ensuring long-term reliability and value.

For the 6.7L Powerstroke, including the popular 2014 6.7 Powerstroke delete kit, engine parts options include full bundles with EGR delete, DPF delete pipes, and DEF removal.
The 6.4L kits focus on CAT & DPF deletes to cut backpressure, while 7.3L Powerstroke EGR delete kits target older systems for better throttle response.
The 6.0 Powerstroke engine upgrades include tailpipe deletes for exhaust flow, EGR deletes to prevent carbon deposits, DPF deletes to eliminate filters, and turbo-back deletes for comprehensive upgrades.
Complete Kit vs. Individual Components
Choosing a complete Powerstroke delete kit ensures all parts work together seamlessly, with pros like easier installation (4-6 hours) and optimized performance.
Cons: Higher upfront cost. Individual components allow customization, such as adding a 7.3 Powerstroke EGR delete piecemeal, but risk compatibility issues and longer install times.
Our complete kits at EGR Performance offer the best value, with pros outweighing cons for most users.
How Much Does It Cost to Delete a 6.7 Powerstroke?
Costs for deleting a 6.7 Powerstroke range from $1,500 to $3,000, covering kits ($2,000+), tuning, and labor.
If you're looking for 6.7 Powerstroke engine upgrades or modifications, we offer a range of options to enhance your truck’s performance.

So far so good with my AFM delete on my 2017 Silverado
5.3 with the factory sport exhaust. I haven’t driven far yet but I can already feel the difference at low speeds being my V8 mode is always on now. The light goes off after shutting my truck off so no battery drain. Before my truck had like a flutter sound at low rpm at speeds around 40mph I guess that’s when my V4 mode was kicking in. But instantly that’s gone now also just slightly pressing the gas pedal now the engine comes alive quicker than before. I’m very satisfied so far and for the 40s $ price range. I first looked at one for around 300 bucks. 5 stars I’m impressed thanks

Ordering process with short, sweet, and to the point; exactly how I like it. The product arrived when it was supposed to. I would definitely order from this company again.

Great overall

it was easy to install and great delivery, got it within 4 days of ordering

I know now that my Chevy 5.3 will not fail after 90k miles as the stupid 4/8 change system has been eliminated. Super easy plug and play on my Silverado.

Product came i plugged it up and it works the way it states i recommend everyone with a5.3 and 6.2 get this ASAP

EGR Delete Plug Kit for 2010-2024 Cummins ISX 15 CM2250 CM2350 Plug Kit

Nice!

Stops the motor from kicking down to 6 or 4 cylinders which is supposed to add years to the motor. Thanks

Even before I purchased this, I was experiencing minor hesitation issues without the Check Engine Light. Also since I purchased this truck 4 yrs back, as I type this out, I had to replace the EGR within 3 months. Other vehicles owned with EGR have not experienced this level of issue when the code was checked on the CEL. Now I have been living with the EGR issue in recent months this time, until I determined what steps I wanted to take to permanently resolve this. After weeks of searching, and no real difference between everyone I looked at on the web, and it kinda was a no brainer, spend the money on a new EGR valve, or spend the same amount and eliminate, in essence bypass the valve emission system all together, especially since this truck at 35 years is not required emissions check in this state at 25 years.
My apologies for taking this much time to respond. The block off plate in this kit for my truck is not necessary. The plug on the sensor was removed, the slave was set, the wiring harness secured to a location out of the way of any issue, CEL cleared. After 3 days with some minor hesitation issues still existing, it was determined the vacuum line originally left alone might need to be plugged. To conclude since the vacuum line was plugged there were no signs of hesitation from standing start or any driving conditions requiring further increased pressure on the gas.
Thank you I am pleased with the response, the resolution of the EGR issue, full stop...

I bought the kit with the up-pipe to delete the EGR cooler feed inlet from the exhaust instead of the small disk that blocks it off. My mistake but, don’t get pinched like I did.

I run a small business, and it ain't always easy. Sometimes the best you can do is correct mistakes when they happen. I had a problem with the two AFM disablers I purchased (purchased together).
I contacted EGR and they acknowledged they did have an issue with some of them. They immediately sent me two replacements and the replacements are working fine.
In my opinion, that's how it should be. Thanks.
